Phase 1 of the Estate is made up of 74 lots with only 9 remaining available for sale. There are 26 homes built or under construction with another 6 in the architectural review process and an additional 7 in the design phase, with plans for these to be built before the end of 2012. By the end of 2012 we will have 54% of home lots in Phase 1 with homes on them. Changes are ever present and our community is really coming together!

We have 3 showcase preferred builders helping us bring our community together and available for our building on your lot program. The Club continues to provide a central place for our community to get together for social and fitness activities.  We opened two more tennis courts, beach volleyball has been added and the basketball area has been completed.  We have also enjoyed many social events from the various themed Kids Nights, and the Easter Bunny visit to the Communities in Schools 5K Fun Run and Tennis Social; just to name a few. To our benefit, Scott brings significant tennis and management experience with him. Scott is a native of Sydney, Australia and has been in America teaching and competing for the past 12 years. Scott journeyed 360° when he recently arrived back in New Braunfels.  Grinning, Scott commented, “The house I lived in was cleared to build the Country Club…  After traveling all over I have come back to my second home!”  And with his old home gone he is looking forward to building the new Club.

The Newcombe Ranch has an international reputation for elite tennis. Scott is excited to be part of Newk giving back to the locally community and helping New Braunfels grow the sport of tennis. Already, a beginner “Tennis 101” class had 20 people jump at the chance to learn tennis basics at the Club.  And several were so impressed with their experience that they quickly joined the Club as regular members.

It was an evening of celebration and an opportunity for members to gain a taste of the full club experience.  The evening was in part an effort to thank members for all their support and patience during the construction process but more importantly have members meet and experience a wide range of the activities offered at the Country Club.  A variety of activities were introduced in rotation during the evening and everyone who wanted to participate got to try them. Of course many were anxious to get on the new world class tennis courts but just as many took part in the fitness activities.

Activities included: Tennis Clinic, Intro to Boot Camp, Tennis Mixer Match Play, Intro to TRX at JNCC, Pilates Reformer Demo, Tennis Games, Intro to Yoga at JNCC, and Tennis Target Court.

The evening was rounded out with a relaxed Mixer & Social with drinks & snacks provided on the back porch of the Club.  And with the Kids Club open everyone had a great time, making new friends, trying out new activities or simply relaxing.  Scott McCulloch, Director of Tennis/Club Manager was thrilled with the turnout on the night, “Looking up from the tennis courts to the Country Club facility, it was a fantastic sight to see 80-100 people socializing and enjoying themselves at our new Club.  That special Club feeling was there and we look forward to sharing it.”
